An employee at Specialty Consulting, Inc. (SPC) led a significant project focused on managing a test program to study the input/output chemistry of a non-commercial-scale carbon capture system prototype. Their responsibilities encompassed the entire project lifecycle, from setting up and running all instrumentation to conducting daily calibrations and quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) checks.

The test program involved measuring over 20 compounds of interest using various advanced technologies such as Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), Gas Chromatography with Flame Photometric Detection (GC-FPD), Micro Gas Chromatography (MicroGC), Flame Ionization Detection (FID), Ultraviolet (UV), and photometric technologies.

Some unique challenges encountered included developing extensive analyses to study atom balance, removal efficiency, minimum detection limit, and exponential decay. Despite the project's complexity, they devised efficient solutions to ensure accurate measurements and reliable data collection.

In the end, they provided a comprehensive summary report detailing all results, findings, procedures, protocols, and discussions on data quality and validation. Their meticulous approach and expertise significantly contributed to the success of the project, demonstrating their ability to manage and execute complex test programs effectively.
