Specialty Consulting, Inc. (SPC) collaborated with Cook County Health to conduct environmental consultations across multiple facilities, encompassing numerous Phase I & II Environmental Site Assessments (ESA). SPC ensured compliance with environmental regulations set by entities such as the EPA, OSHA, City of Chicago, and IDPH. Planning reports outlining costs to address identified deficiencies or concerns were also provided for each facility.
Through these projects, SPC offered a range of environmental consulting services, including hazardous material and waste management, underground storage tank removal, and soil investigations and sampling.
SPC worked closely with Cook County Health leadership to perform comprehensive environmental assessments at various facilities, including the Oak Forest Health Center Campus, Cook County Health Administration Building, Cook County Department of Public Health in Forest Park, Logan Square Health Center, and Provident Hospital. These assessments will aid in compliance with environmental regulations and assist in developing planning reports for each facility.
Phase I ESA reports were conducted in accordance with ASTM E1527-13 standards, with data collected from Environmental Data Resources, Inc. (EDR) and FOIA responses from government agencies. Phase II ESA activities included assessing active and removed USTs, with sampling activities conducted even in harsh weather conditions to prevent project delays while ensuring accurate results. All project activities were closely coordinated with the County's internal teams without disrupting facility operations.
