Specialty Consulting, Inc. was retained by Crawford, Murphy & Tilly, Inc. to conduct a limited hazardous building materials survey at both crib locations. SPC performed the field survey in accordance with the National Emission Standard for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAPS) requirements and guidelines as well as standard industry practices. The survey included testing for asbestos-containing material (ACM) and lead-based paint (LBP) as well as visual inspections for the presence of polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), universal waste, and mold that may have been present and potentially disturbed during planned renovation activities. Survey was conducted the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) licensed inspectors for asbestos and lead. PCB, mold, and universal waste surveys were performed by an environmental specialist experienced in conducting such surveys.
