This project consists of repair and restoration of all 45 buildings at the Oak Forest Hospital Campus located in Oak Forest, Illinois. The Hospital Campus includes mostly two to six story masonry buildings built from 1916 to 1940. Many of old vintage buildings have retained their historic character including ornamental stone and brickwork, window treatments, and terra cotta sills, coping and cornices. The first phase of the project included field investigations and condition surveys to document the conditions of deterioration and prepare a renovation program and develop construction budgets. The second phase included preparation of repair drawings, details, specifications, and construction cost estimates for restoration of the buildings. The third phase included bid assistance, construction observations, and administration services.
