The program included confined space program development, training development, and implementation, and safety equipment management. SPC inspected the entire FHCC Campus to identify and characterize all established structures/spaces that meet the definition of a confined space and identify all existing structures/spaces that meet the definition of permit required confined space (PRCS). Where PRCSs were noted, SPC developed and documented recommendations to redesign or reconfigure spaces that precluded routine occupant entry, installed permanent PRCS entry signs, and identified personal protective equipment requirements and engineering controls for each PRCS. Monitoring requirements, parameters, target stressors/agents and acceptable limits/sampling were documented on the Hazard Evaluation forms for each PRCS.
